Some of our family from Colorado came to visit. It was so great to see them! The kids had so much fun playing together, we haven't been able to get to Colorado since Graysen was born so it we were really missing them. Matt has always told the kids that when they came out to visit he wanted to take them fishing so we ended up going to the trout farm and the kids caught a TON of fish. We were going to limit them to 2 fish per kid but of course we just couldn't tell them no when they wanted to try for another. There was also a corn maze we went through. It was pretty fun but I couldn't look around to close or I would have freaked out about all the bugs!!! It was a great visit!

Tatum Update

This is Tatum for her first day of preschool, she missed the deadline for kindergarten by 10 days:( I think she is ready to start but I decided it will be good for her to be the oldest. I am hoping she is going to excell vs. just trying to keep up. She is so sassy she only wants to wear dresses or skirts. What a cutie!!!

She also started to play soccer this year. Her first game was amazing she scored 2 goals and was really aggresive but since then she seems to have lost a little interest. She still likes to play and says she is having fun so I guess that is all that matters. Plus she looks really cute in her soccer uniform.

Tatum turned 5!!! She had her first friend party and decided she wanted to make it a fairy party. She had her friends over and they all got a pair of wings and made tutus. They all turned out great!

As you may already know clear back in April we welcomed Graysen Michael into our family. He came into this world much faster than his older sister, we checked into the hospital at 6:15 and he was here by 10:17. It would have been even faster but the little stinker decided to be face up so it took a little longer than the Dr. thought it would. I worked a full day of work until 5:30 then headed straight to the hospital, I was really happy I didn't waste any of my leave sitting around waiting for him to join us. He was born very healthy at 7 lbs 10 oz and 20 inches.

Tatum just loves her little brother. We were a little worried about jealousy because she has been the center of our world for so long but she is incredibally good to him. She is always asking to hold him, help feed or bathe him. He loves her too, she can always make him smile or laugh.

Our poor little guy had a rough couple months at first. He had colic and acid reflux. He only had 3 states of being...sleeping, eating or crying. It broke my heart to have him so unhappy with nothing I could do for him. We started him on zantac which seemed to help a little but really it was just time that was the biggest improvement. He is now going on 6 months and such a happy kid. He loves to be held and loved on, he smiles full time and laughs at everything. He started rolling from his back to his belly right at 5 months and gets mad that he can't just get up and go. When this little guy gets mobile I think it will be non-stop, we are gonna do a lot of running to catch up with him.

Well it's been a long time with no posts, really (knowing myself )not surprising at all. There has been a lot going on in our life. Most of you probably already know our family is expanding. We are having a baby!!! Most people thought we weren't having anymore but we knew our family was not complete yet. I am now 19 1/2 weeks along that means he should be here sometime around May 13th. I have been meaning to put this on here for a while but I thought I would try to scan in the ultrasound picture to go with the announcement but that just didn't seem like it was ever going to happen. We had an appointment on Friday and the Dr said "definitely a boy" So now we start to think of all thing blue. Tatum was a little disappointed at first and said "if it's gonna be a boy he better be a nice boy" I told her that it is our job to teach him how to be a nice boy. Now I'm thinking that was not the best thing to tell her cause I think she thinks she is now the boss of the poor kid and he is not even born yet.

In other new Tatum had her first dance performance last week. She did GREAT!!!!!! We were so proud of her. She did all the steps and smiled like crazy. Our pictures of her on stage did not turn out:( but we were able to get it on video. I can't seem to figure out how to upload it yet but I will keep trying. She is so cute!!!!

So I went SKYDIVING yesterday, always wanted to but never really thought I would. I decided that my birthday was a good reason to go jump out of a plane. It was pretty crazy, I never really got scared to my suprise. It all seemed a little like a ride at Disneyland or something. p.s. sorry about the underline not quite sure how that happened or how to get rid of it and I already had to download the picture twice so I just went with it.

Candice set up for us to have some family pictures taken and I think they turned out pretty good. I still can't decide which ones to have printed, as you can tell I can't pick my favorites. Any help in that department would be much appreciated.

Disneyland

Back in July we drove out to California and stayed with Matts cousin for a couple days. Matts mom Darlene flew out there to meet us and we all went to Disneyland. We had so much fun!!! It was a great visit with Jeff and Vicki and their boys. Disneyland was hot and sticky but we still had a fantastic time. I was happy to actually be able to ride the rides this time, last time we went to Disney world I was 6 months pregnant with Tatum. I hope everybody loves the picture of Tatum with Mickey because we had to wait in line for over an hour to get it. Tatum really wanted to meet a princess but they don't have them out to meet anymore (at least not that we found). She got to see them on a boat during the nightly show so she was OK with it. I was sad that I didn't get Darlene in mouse ears, oh well. It was just a really great time and we are already trying to figure out when we could go again.

When a 3 year old wants to paint her own nails

I was thinking my darling little daughter was being so good and just watching TV in her toy room. Little did I know that she had decided that the 1 coat of nail polish I did for her toes and fingers just wasn't enough. When she came out this is what I find on her feet and also polish half way up each finger. She got sent to time out and I removed the polish from her fingers and she just cried and couldn't understand why I was mad. Of course I ran out of polish remover so her feet are still pink. When I was taking this picture she says "Mom, why are you taking pictures of my feet? Is it because they look so beautiful?"

Matt has been working very hard this weekend with moving rock and planting some trees. Our yard is finally starting to come together, I'm sure our neighbors are happy. I'm way happy too since we now have our Suzy it was making a muddy mess every time she went out potty. She is a quick learner she got to the point where she would walk in and just wait til I cleaned off her paws before going further into the house. We paid landscapers to do the sprinklers and lay the sod, they have some more work but we haven't seen them for almost 2 weeks now. That's what I get for paying them in full. We can't really do anything in front until they finish up but the back hopefully won't be much more to do. We still have a lot of work ahead of us but I think it will look really nice when it is finished. Tatum and Suzy will be so excited to be able to just go out and play.

It's been a month now since we lost Paul Plendl(Matts dad) and not any easier to believe. I've been meaning to put up some kind of tribute ever since but couldn't quite find the words. Paul was was an amazing man...husband....dad....and grandfather. I see the love he freely gave everyday in my husband who loves with the same devotion and passion. He along with his wife Darlene are the most accepting people I have ever met. He never judged anybody and if you were good to him he would be good to you. We all miss him so much everyday. We love you Papa!

I just wanted to take a second and say THANK YOU. Matt and I had to rush to Colorado this past weekend and it wasn't a good thing for Tatum to go with us. Chad and Candice offered to take her for us, and she was so excited to have a sleep over and play. It was so nice of them to take her last second and take such good care of her. Matt and I have the best family, we are so grateful for you all. We should never miss any opportunity to tell our loved ones we love them. So I love you all and thank you!!!

Matt finally broke down and got a Harley. He got to break it in this past weekend with my dad and Trent. They rode almost 400 miles through southern Utah and Nevada. They said they had a lot of fun but wish it could have been a little warmer.

This is our Suzie. She was my grandpas, so when he passed away a little while ago we decided to take her. We took a while to decide to take her because we don't have a fence and our yard is just dirt. She is really sweet and Tatum just loves her. Suzie loves the snow and just being outside. She is a little camera shy so it was hard to get a picture of her, she kept trying to hide.

Matts parents came for a visit a couple weeks ago, so we decided to get both sets of grandparents together for dinner. We made them all really happy when we told them we wanted to get a picture. They were really good sports and even gave us smiles.

Aunt Jessie sent Tatum a Valentine card and she gets so excited to get something in the mail. Everytime I check the mail she always tells me I need to check to see if there is something for her. She really wanted her picture taken with it. Thanks guys!!!

So we finally have a blog. I am not very crafty and not very good at taking pictures so I have been resistant in starting this even though Lisa, Candice and Megan have been telling me to for the past year.
